Privacy policy
Last updated: 18 October 2026. This policy covers Clackr at clackr.in.
Practice data on your device
Clackr uses your browser’s local storage to remember your guest name and game settings, your last 50 race results, and the word timings of your best runs for ghost replays. Clearing this site’s browser data removes those local records.
When you join an online race as a guest, we also save a randomly generated player identifier in your browser and send it to the server with your race requests. It helps the game recognise you between requests; it is not a sign-in credential.
Accounts and online races
Creating an account provides a username, email address and password. The server stores a salted password hash, rather than the password itself. Signing in sets a session cookie with a lifetime of up to 30 days; signing out ends that session. You can use practice mode without creating an account.
Online races send a player identifier, display name, progress and timing data to the server to run the race and calculate results. Other racers can see your name and race progress. Finished online scores can appear on the shared leaderboard. Do not use a guest name that reveals information you want to keep private.
Service providers
Cloudflare hosts the site and online game data. The site loads fonts from Google Fonts. These services receive connection information such as your IP address and browser details when your browser contacts them. If enabled, Cloudflare Turnstile checks sign-in forms for automated activity, and Resend processes email addresses to deliver account confirmation messages.
Advertising and cookies
We are preparing to use Google AdSense, but Clackr is not requesting or showing ads at the moment. Publisher verification is in place. We will update this page and put the required privacy choices in place before turning on advertising.
When Google advertising is enabled, Google and other advertising vendors may use cookies, web beacons, IP addresses or similar technologies to serve and measure ads. Google’s advertising cookies can let Google and its partners serve personalised ads based on visits to this and other websites. We will explain the choices available when that feature is introduced.
Learn how Google uses information from sites that use its services. You can manage personalized advertising in Google My Ad Center and learn about participating third-party vendors’ choices at AboutAds. Browser settings also let you block or delete cookies. Blocking storage may affect sign-in and saved results.
Data requests
Account records remain on the server until they are deleted; there is no automatic account expiry. Sign-in sessions expire after up to 30 days. The shared leaderboard keeps up to 5,000 results, with older entries removed as new ones are added. This is separate from the last 50 results stored in your browser.
Clearing your browser data does not delete server-side accounts or online scores. There is currently no self-service account deletion feature. For questions about access, correction, deletion or retention of server-side data, contact harshcj911@gmail.com. Do not include your password.
Policy changes
